The SBS Mon-Tue drama Our Beloved Summer stars Choi Woo-shik and Kim Da-mi, telling the story of a top student and a bottom-of-the-class student whose lives and feelings shift over ten years. The lead couple's relationship is portrayed with real nuance, stirring up memories of youth and all the frustrating, thought-provoking moments that come with love. Many of the show's scenes are genuinely captivating — let's take a look together!

1. Seoul Central High School

Address: 164 Changdeokgung-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul (서울 종로구 창덕궁길 164) (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) This is the high school Guk Yeon-su and Choi Ung attend — looks familiar, right? That's because this school also appeared in the Korean dramas Goblin and Because This Is My First Life! Studying on such a beautiful campus, it's no wonder falling in love feels almost inevitable (haha).

2. Choi Ung's home

Address: 22 Hwaseomun-ro 31beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기도 수원시 팔달구 화서문로31번길 22) (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) Choi Ung's home was filmed at a café called "Haenggung Party" (행궁파티) in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. This café has actually been closed since February 2021, but the surrounding neighbourhood still has plenty of hanok-style cafés and restaurants with charming interiors, echoing the vibes of Bukchon and Jeonju!

3. Yeon-su's home

Address: 75 Changnyongmun-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기도 수원시 팔달구 창룡문로 75) (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) Near Yeon-su's home is Suwon's famous "Jidong Mural Village," lined with plenty of beautiful, charming murals. That said, this is still a residential area, so if you visit, be sure to be respectful and avoid disturbing local residents.

4. Dolmen Park

Address: 449 Sumogwon-ro, Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기 오산시 수목원로 449) (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) This is one of the show's most iconic scenes — the rainy afternoon when high-schoolers Yeon-su and Choi Ung decide to date, shot in a strikingly beautiful way. The actual filming location wasn't the high school mentioned earlier, but rather Dolmen Park in Osan-si.

5. Jaha Super

Address: 57 Jahamun-ro 42-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) In the show, the neighbourhood scenes where Choi Ung and Yeon-su live were actually filmed across many scattered locations. The bus stop where Yeon-su catches the bus to work is actually located at a supermarket with strong retro charm.

6. Maedang

Address: 20-4 Eunhaeng-ro, Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) The restaurant run by Choi Ung's parents, "With Little Ung," sits in a rustic alleyway. Many assume it was filmed in Bukchon Hanok Village, but the main restaurant scenes were actually shot in the alleyways of Jeonju Hanok Village. If you ever get the chance to visit Jeonju, be sure to stop by Choi Ung's family restaurant, "Maedang," to try some delicious Korean cuisine.

7. Ongwang Natural Recreation Forest

Address: 480-113 Hwangnyongjae-ro, Beolgok-myeon, Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) One of the show's most memorable turning points — after Choi Ung and Yeon-su run away together, they're caught by the PD and taken to a mountain villa. This location is "Ongwang Natural Recreation Forest" in Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do — its sweeping forest scenery paired with the mountain villa makes you want to come here and truly unwind, doesn't it?

8. Jebu Island

Address: Jebu-ri, Seosin-myeon, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) In a flashback scene from Our Beloved Summer, Yeon-su suddenly decides she wants to travel and drags Choi Ung out the door in a hurry. This beautiful seaside spot is "Jebu Island" in Gyeonggi-do, where the sea parts to form a walkable road depending on the tide — one of Korea's rare "Moses miracle" road phenomena.

9. Oido Museum

Address: 332 Oido-ro, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) When Choi Ung and Yeon-su get back together, they rediscover the sweetness of their early relationship, with Choi Ung secretly tagging along on Yeon-su's work outing, only to get caught by a client — a genuinely memorable, adorable scene. This filming location is the Oido Museum in Siheung-si, facing Incheon across a bay, and also a key site documenting the ancient history of the Korean Peninsula.

10. Jidong Market

Address: 402-8 Jidong, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do (photo by: Netflix's Our Beloved Summer screenshot) Yeon-su's grandmother heads to the market alone and happens to run into Choi Ung, who kindly tries to help her, only to accidentally spill oranges everywhere. This scene was filmed at "Jidong Market" near Yeon-su's home, a traditional market built along the old city wall and a favourite among locals. Above are the main filming locations from Our Beloved Summer — did it bring back any memories of your own youth? If you haven't watched it yet, go check it out!
