Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo: recreating the films across 3 sections, worth every yen of the ticket price
Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo — The Making of Harry Potter opened to huge fanfare earlier this year, faithfully recreating scenes straight from the films and instantly causing a stir around the world. This article walks fellow Muggles through the tickets, exhibits, and experiences on offer at the studio tour.

"Welcome, Harry, to Diagon Alley"
A few taps of an umbrella against the wall, and Diagon Alley reveals itself to Harry — and to the audience. That single line from Robbie Coltrane sparked a worldwide obsession with Hogwarts, and even now, long after the films wrapped, the Harry Potter IP shows no sign of fading. The world's largest Harry Potter studio tour opened in Tokyo this year, letting fans step directly into scenes they have watched countless times.
Asia's first, and the world's largest, indoor Harry Potter attraction
The world's first Harry Potter studio tour is in London, the setting of the original story. In 2020, Warner Bros. took over Tokyo's old Toshimaen amusement park, and in June 2023 it reopened as Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo. Strictly speaking, it is not a theme park but more of a museum — Warner Bros. focused on faithfully recreating film sets, props and costumes, and letting visitors experience the filmmaking techniques and behind-the-scenes stories behind both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, set in the same universe. If you are after rides, you will want to head to Universal Studios instead~

Iconic scenes recreated — step back into the wizarding world
1. Platform 9¾
"All you gotta do is walk straight at the wall between platforms 9 and 10."
The iconic scene of Mrs. Weasley teaching Harry how to board the train for the first time at King's Cross Station. The studio tour not only has a luggage trolley set up for photos, but also lets visitors board the Hogwarts Express and watch projected scenery roll by outside the window.

2. Diagon Alley
Diagon Alley is probably the shopping district every Potter fan has dreamed of visiting. It includes Gringotts from the early films, Ollivanders wand shop, the owl emporium where Hagrid buys Hedwig, and the Weasley brothers' joint venture, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. It feels so immersive you will find yourself drawing up a Hogwarts supply list without even meaning to!

3. The Great Hall of Hogwarts
Walk into the Great Hall, and it all comes flooding back — the familiar scene, the four house banners and crests, the professors lined up at the head table. Are you already picturing Dumbledore tapping his goblet, ready to tuck into the feast prepared by the house-elves?

Fully immersed in the park's magical charm, you will need at least half a day to see it all — plenty more scenes and experiences are waiting for you to discover in person at Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo~
