Updated 10 September 2024! To give even more back to shoppers visiting Japan, Don Quijote's new coupon launched on 10 September 2024. Previously it offered up to 10% tax-free plus 5% off for purchases of ¥10,000 or more (before tax); it now offers up to 10% tax-free plus 5% off for ¥10,000+ purchases, and up to 10% tax-free plus 7% off for ¥30,000+ purchases — an even bigger discount that should make shopping even more satisfying. Remember to download the coupon before you go, and save yourself some money!

What is Bic Camera? It is Japan's largest electronics retailer, stocking everything from steam ovens and hair dryers to game consoles, headphones, and even drugstore items and everyday essentials. Bic Camera branches can be found near major stations all across Japan, making shopping wonderfully convenient! Since the pandemic, Bic Camera's coupon has made a comeback, offering "10% tax-free + up to 7% off" — effectively the tax-free price times 0.93, a genuinely noticeable discount. Matsumotokiyoshi

Matsumotokiyoshi, a favourite among Taiwanese shoppers, has branches all over Japan — it has even opened locations in Taiwan! Even so, buying drugstore items is still better value at the Japan stores, thanks to the tax exemption and discounts only available to foreign visitors. The Roppongi branch in Tokyo, the store outside Ikebukuro Station's west exit, and the Shibuya Part1 branch all offer 24-hour opening plus tax-free shopping — no time difference needed.
